Intro text (homepage):
This exercise introduces methods of spatial analysis in GIS. It is part one of an introductory module on spatial analysis using QGIS. We are interested in looking at libraries in the Bronx as a public resource. We will use proximity based measures to the zones of impact (and potential impact) of libraries on Bronx residents from a number of different perspectives. Through the exercise you will understand the principles and applications of boolean operations, conduct spatial joins, explain and perform proportional split population estimates.
